Senior EditorsManiver Deol, MD
Maniver is from New York and earned her medical degree in India. Her focus is medical education, and she has helped manage the USMLE-Rx Step 2 CK QMax and Step 2 Flash Facts projects. She is a vegetarian who loves authentic NY pizza and trying new restaurants. In her spare time, Maniver enjoys reading, going to museums, gardening, and spending time with family, friends, and her rambunctious pitbull.
 
 

Lauren Rothkopf, MD

Lauren earned her medical degree and a Masters in Public Health from Temple University School of Medicine. Ali was born in Bahrain and earned his medical degree at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland–Bahrain in 2015. He is completing his intern year at Salmaniya Medical Complex and will apply for a neurology residency in 2017. Ali’s hobbies include reading, watching films, going on meditative walks, and enjoying food with family and friends.

Nitina was born and raised in Long Island, N.Y. She graduated from St. George's University School of Medicine in 2015 and is currently earning her Master's Degree in Business Administration. Once that’s completed, she plans to pursue a career in child and adolescent psychiatry. Nitina enjoys playing volleyball, traveling, and spending time with friends and family
 
 Marvin Bundo, MD 
Marvin graduated from the University of Medicine, Tirana in 2013. He is pursuing a masters degree in health sciences at The Health & Life Sciences University, Austria, where he is also working as a research assistant. His research interests include personalized medicine and breast cancer. Among Marvin’s hobbies are reading and traveling. 
 
 Nicole Green
Nicole is a recent graduate of Weill Cornell Medical College who decided to head West after graduation and spend a year doing research in Colorado while exploring all of that magical state's wild wonders. She is excited to be working with USMLE-Rx to make test-taking as pleasant and successful as possible, and looking forward to starting anesthesiology residency next year.
 
 

Varun Halani,MD
Varun completed his medical education at AJ Institute of Medical Sciences/Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in India.  He acquired substantial clinical and basic science experience while working in pathology, internal medicine, emergency/trauma, and critical care. Varun is currently an author on both USMLE-Rx Step 1 Qmax and the new edition of First Aid for the USMLE Step 2 CS. Outside of reading medical literature, he enjoys cycling, listening to classical music, and playing badminton with his wife, Steffi.

 
 Mariel Janowsky, MD
Mari was born in San Diego, raised in North Carolina, completed her undergraduate education as a Banana Slug at UC Santa Cruz, and spent a few years teaching high school in Oakland, Calif. She then decided to pursue her childhood dream of becoming a doctor and was thankfully accepted into the “pioneering class” of the combined MD/MPH program at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

Ujjala Kumar, MD

Originally from Detroit, Ujjala earned her medical degree in 2006 from Dow University of Health Sciences in Karachi, Pakistan. She completed an internal medicine residency in 2011 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. Ujjala is currently teaching in the internal medicine residency program at Sinai Grace Hospital in Detroit while she completes a Masters of Public Health degree at George Washington University. In addition to her busy work life, she enjoys her full-time job as a mother of three kids and loves running, swimming, and engaging in adventurous sports with her family.

 
 Lauren de Leon, MD
Lauren graduated from Columbia University with bachelors degrees in neuroscience and behavior in 2006, and from the Alpert Medical School of Brown University in 2010. She completed her internal medicine residency through Brown University in 2013, and is currently a primary care physician in Providence, R.I.
 
 Joshua M. Liao, MD
Joshua earned his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine and trained in internal medicine at Brigham & Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School. He is passionate about program evaluation and education related to health policy and delivery redesign. Joshua currently practices at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
 
 Nicole Noronha, MD
Nicole is a first-year pediatrics resident at Tufts Medical Center. She completed her undergraduate degree in human biology at Brown University, and stayed on to earn her medical degree from the Alpert Medical School of Brown University in 2016. 
 
 Cristen Olds, MD
Cristen earned her medical degree at Stanford University School of Medicine and is currently training in Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery at Stanford. 
 
 Travis Peck
Travis is from Delaware and is currently a student at Virginia School of Medicine. He has worked on USMLE-Rx Steps 1, 2 CK, and 3 Qmaxes with USMLE-Rx. Travis plans on going into ophthalmology.
 
 Jonathan Rodger
Originally from New Jersey, Jonathan moved to Philadelphia in 2011 to earn a master's degree at Drexel University. He stayed on to enter medical school and is now a fourth-year student. Jonathan is applying to residency programs in obstetrics and gynecology and hopes to be able to stay in the Philadelphia area.

Aaron is from Louisville and completed his medical school training at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He is currently in general surgery residency at the University of Michigan Health System.

Jane grew up in Kentucky and Missouri, and completed her undergraduate as well as medical education at Brown University.  She is currently living in Philadelphia and enjoys cooking, roadtripping, and tennis.
 
 Yifan Zheng, MD
Yifan is part of the 6-year combined residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Her interests are clinical research and medical education.  When not busy with clinical care or operative outcomes research, Yifan likes to try new foods, travel, and hike.
